Axle is an outstanding stallion! He is a grandson of Little Steel Dust, sired by a stallion who was once herd sire for the legendary Jaz Ranch. Axle is 100% Foundation in all registries. He is 31.25% Little Steel Dust, 26.1% Poco Bueno, and 26.7% King bred. Axle is grullo with no white and has been tested homozygous for BOTH the black and dun factor genes. This means he is guaranteed to throw only black based dun offspring (grullo, bay dun or dunskin) no matter what color the mare is that he is bred to. He cannot sire a red foal.
Breeding and color aside, what we love about this horse is his quiet disposition. He is quiet enough that we do not have to worry about our young kids around him. When being handled he behaves for them like he does for us. He is great to ride on the ranch, has roped calves, stands quietly when tied, loads and is exceptionally easy to catch. He is showing great potential in the rodeo arena as a heel horse. Axle is level headed whether we are working cattle or going for a leisurely trail ride. While he is level headed he isn't lazy. I have no reservations letting my kids ride him. He is a gentleman and also very good to handle during breeding.
We breed a few select outside mares each year, live cover only. While we may consider shipping semen in the future we do not offer this service at this time.

Bragg is a son of our senior stallion and cornerstone of our program, IJ Kings Hombre "Axle." As soon as he was born I knew how phenomenal this colt was and just couldn't let him go. If anything is to happen to Axle I will have a son to replace him. Not only that, but Bragg is out of my favourite mare Patina Magic Charm "Gem." Axle and Gem are a powerful cross, always producing foals with their quiet disposition, balance, muscle and bone.....and then Gem slams it with her loud dun factor and Axle polishes it off with a baby doll head. Bragg is broke to ride and was ridden for 2 years on the ranch before he bred any mares. He has ridden miles in the pasture and mountains, roped calves and sorted cows. He is complete gentleman to handle just like his sire and dam. Braggs first foal crop arrived in 2023, he has proven himself being a superior cross with many of our mares and I couldnt be happier with this foal crop.
